Fire Resistant MDF (FR-MDF)
FR-MDF is increasingly used particularly in public
spaces where stringent fire regulations must be
met. Boards meet strict requirements which include
improved fire resistance and especially the ability
not to contribute to fire spread and not to form
burning droplets.
High Density Fiberboard (HDF)
High-density Fiberboard (HDF) is made of wood
fiber or other plant fiber adding urea formaldehyde
or other synthetic resin with the process of compressing in pressurized heating conditions.
Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF)
A synthetic resin binder, typically urea formaldehyde, is added to impart strength properties and
paraffin wax to provide protection against accidental water spillage. MDF is stronger and provides a
better surface finish than particle board (PB). Sheet
goods and finished parts are used in the manufacturing of fixture, display, slatwall, cabinet and furniture components.
High Moisture Resistant MDF (HMR-MDF)
MDF HMR is a highly moisture resistant due to the
bonding of wood particles with a special moisture
resistant resin system for use in areas of high humidity or areas where occasional wetting may
occur. Additionally, there are Melamine Faced
Panels HMR that have a variety of designs and surfaces as well.
